Theatre In Flow is committed to respecting the privacy of its audiences, employees and collaborators, and will always treat any personal data we collect carefully and confidentially. We are also committed to meeting the requirements of current legislation: namely the Data Protection Act and The General Data Protection regulation (GDPR).

GDPR provides the following rights for individuals:

8. Rights in relation to automated decision making and profiling.

How we treat your data

We will always tell you what we will do with your data when we collect it, including how we store and process it. We will not use your data in ways other than those which you have agreed to. We will never pass your data on to third parties without your permission. We will store your data securely, using password-protected systems and encryption when it is stored electronically, and a locked cabinet for anything in hard copy. We will not keep data longer than is necessary and will dispose of it securely. We will respect your rights under data protection laws.

Rights of access, correction and erasure

You can ask us at any time for the data we hold in relation to you, and we will respond within 14 days. If any of the details we hold about you are incorrect, we will update them as soon as you tell us (within 7 days). You can change your mind about being on our mailing list at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the footer of any email you receive from us, or by contacting Mimosa on mimosa@theatreinflow.com and we will delete your information from our list.

Our mailing list

We use MailChimp as our marketing automation platform, and data submitted via the sign-up form on our website will be transferred to MailChimp for processing in accordance with their Privacy Policy and Terms. You can unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the footer of any email you receive from us, or by contacting us via the contact page on our website, and we will delete your information from our list.

Our website

We use Google Analytics to help us monitor use of our website and to understand how people use it. Google is committed to complying with GDPR legislation – you can read more about that here and more generally about how Google protects the data of businesses which use its services here. We do not use cookies to store personal data.

Business to business data (including freelance workforce)
Personal details of people working for us will be stored for purposes of contracting and making payments and delivering contracted services. We only store the details we need to do this. These consist of:

  • contact details to enable us to issue contracts and to contact you in relation to work to be carried out (address, email, phone numbers)

  • invoices from individuals to enable payments to be processed

  • bank details to enable payments to be made These details are stored securely. Bank details are password protected via our bank’s systems and require two-factor authentication. Only personnel who need to access these details for contracting/payments have access to them. Our accounting software is accessed via a computer which is password protected and encrypted: bank details are not stored in this system. We sometimes use DocHub to enable electronic signing of documents by the Company and by the people who work for us. DocHub fully complies with GDPR, and you can read their Privacy Policy online.
